Abstract

With the beginning of summer came many exciting announcements in the world of children’s and young adult book awards.

In the United Kingdom, the prestigious Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals were awarded. Canada saw the announcement of the BC Book Prizes and Jewish Book Awards, while in the United States, the Locus Award for young adult science fiction was conferred. Also announced were the much-anticipated Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards.

Below is a complete list of the prize winners for each competition.
