Congratulations to the UK North West Clinical Librarian Systematic Review and Evaluation Group

Congratulations to the UK North West Clinical Librarian Systematic Review and Evaluation Group who have won the Practitioner Researcher Excellence Award which has been awarded by the UK LIS Research Coalition. The group comprises a 15 member team of clinical librarians who work at a range of organizations across the UK NHS. In the first instance the librarians conducted a systematic review to determine how best to evaluate clinical librarian services. In a follow up project, they conducted a region-wide evaluation which put the recommendations of the review into practice to demonstrate how clinical librarians make an impact on a wide range of organizational outcomes. Interim results of the project were presented at EBLIP6. The group was mentored by Alison Brettle of Salford University and the project is an excellent example of evidence based library and information practice. The award will be presented at the DREaM conference on 9^th July 2012.
