Abstract

On October 2: 200: two science librarians at the University of Arizona partnered with UA women faculty from science, engineering and women's studies disciplines and Odaiko Sonora taiko instructors to present a non-course related hands-on interactive Japanese drumming event for female science and engineering students. This paper outlines the process we used to plan the program, secure funding, and conduct the event. It also describes outcomes and plans for future activities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
