Cet article livre une réflexion sur les premiers résultats d’une enquête qui a pour contexte un séminaire de formation à l’écriture de la thèse à l’Université libre de Bruxelles. Cette enquête vise à cerner les besoins et les différents profils du public concerné, très hétérogène. On interrogera ainsi le rapport à l’écrit(ure) scientifique de ce public. La recherche-action menée vise à influer sur les pratiques enseignantes pour aider les apprentis chercheurs à dépasser une « insécurité littéracique ».
