Literacy Issues in the Era of the New Media

Abstract

The digital divide is so deeply entangled with so many other social issues that probably what is first at stake is not the digital divide itself, but the battle for its realistic understanding. Only then we can really fight the very digital divide, which must be prevented, opposed and ultimately eradicated, for building an equitable information society for all.
