Librarians’ Use of Digital Storytelling for students with Learning Disabilities: Results from Two Countries

The study examined Librarians’ use of digital storytelling for students with learning disabilities in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Descriptive survey statistical analysis was adopted. Through an online survey, 130 professionals were studied in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. The findings revealed that the major approaches to storytelling were Television, WhatsApp conference video call, Zoom, etc. Respondents were found to have positive perception towards the use of digital storytelling. Challenges were identified. The study recommended that librarians and other professionals involved in assisting students with learning disabilities should be adequately trained so as to acquire the digital skills needed to effectively create digital story contents attractively.
