Marion Blute, Dept. of Sociology, University of Toronto

Marion Blute is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Toronto. Her interests are in theory, particularly evolutinary theory, science studies and gender and she has published in a variety of life, social science and philosophy of science journals on these topics. She is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Biological Theory published by MIT Press and of the Editorial Board of Spontaneous Generations: A Journal for the History and Philosophy of Science. Her book titled Darwinian Sociocultural Evolution: Solutions to Dilemmas in Cultural and Social Theory will be published by Cambridge University Press in January.
