Dans la perspective de bâtir ultérieurement un outil permettant une visualisation de différents systèmes de classification des disciplines, cette étude présente une perspective globale de la recherche portant sur ces systèmes ainsi que différentes approches méthodologiques utilisées pour comprendre les connexions et identifier le potentiel d’interopérabilité entre les systèmes de classifications.
