This paper identifies some of the factors prompting Canadian corporations to consider exploring for oil and gas in foreign countries. The basic contractual and regulatory regimes commonly employed in the major petroleum producing regions are outlined. Possible investment, financial, operational and legal issues arising out of international business are also canvassed.Downloads
