This paper examines the Operator's lien, as it is written in the 1981 Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen Operating Procedure, and the law of Canada, the Commonwealth and the United States to determine the nature of the Operator's interest and the steps which the Operator must take to perfect its security and succeed in priority contests with other creditors.Downloads
