The author outlines the substantive changes that have been made by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen in its 1981 Operating Procedure. The philosophy behind the changes is outlined and guidance is provided for the interpretation of the ef fect of the provisions. As well, possible difficulties in interpretation and limitations on the effectiveness of certain provisions are examined.Downloads
