Author Biography

Penny Hardy

Penny Hardy is an independent sculptor practicing in England. She studied at the Chelsea School of Art and Middlesex Poly. She has exhibited sculpture regularly since 2006, throughout the UK and more recently, has taken on international commissions throughout Europe, USA, Australia, and South Africa. Her aim is to capture a sense of movement and dynamics in sculpture by using simple, raw materials, including recycled and repurposed discarded metal items. Her “Blown Away” series, highlighted by You Blew Me Away, is a response to the strong emotions that affect us, the physical impact they have on our bodies, and the influence external or environmental forces have on all of us.
