What to expect after submitting your paper?
After submitting your paper, it will undergo at least one round of review. A professor (open review) and a graduate student (double-blind review) will each write a review report and provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept with no further revisions: Your paper is accepted for publication as is.
- Minor revisions required: You will need to revise your paper by addressing all points raised by the reviewers. If reviewers recommend a second round of review, your revised paper will undergo another review. If the revisions are satisfactory, your paper will be accepted for publication.
- Major revisions required: You will need to address all points raised by the reviewers and submit a revised version. If reviewers recommend a second round of review, your revised paper will undergo another review. If no further revision is necessary, your paper will be accepted for publication.
- Rejection recommended: If the reviewers recommend rejection, your paper will be rejected, and you will be notified accordingly.
Once your paper is accepted for publication, it will be sent to a copyeditor. The copyeditor will edit your paper for clarity and grammar. You will then review the copyedited manuscript and address all suggested edits before it moves to the layout editor. Finally, the layout editor will format the copyedited document for publication in the ESI.
