In May 2013, Prof.M.D.Srinivas (Centre for Policy Studies, Chennai), Prof. K. Ramasubramanian (IIT Bombay), and Prof. M. S. Sriram (University of Madras) delivered a course of 40 lectures on "Mathematics in India: From Vedic Period to Modern Times" under the NPTEL Programme of IIT Madras.
