Abstract

This study uses a conceptual analysis approach to explore how identity has been conceptualized by Library and Information Science (LIS) researchers. Understanding how identity has been conceptualized will illuminate the connections between people’s personal andsocial identities and their information practices and suggest future areas for LIS research.
