Abstract

This poster describes the research design and identifies emerging themes of a work-in-progress dissertation study, titled Understanding information-sharing of artist-researchers. In the context of this study artist-researcher includes individuals who self-identify as enmeshing artistic and scholarly approaches to research. The doctoral research study will provide an account and analysis of how artist-researchers share (or do not share) information among themselves and others by exploring the conditions that encourage and discourage sharing. The study considers what it means to share and be shared with, and brings attention to obscured aspects of the research process.

 

Comprendre le partage d'informations des artistes-chercheurs : Thématiques émergentes

Résumé
Cette affiche présente les résultats d'une recherche de thèse portant sur les besoins informationnels, les sources et les comportements des bibliothécaires dans la région du Grand Toronto qui travaillent avec des collections de bandes dessinées et de romans graphiques dans des contextes de bibliothèques académiques, scolaires et spéciales. Ce projet élargit la méthodologie d'entrevue de l'horizon informationnel de Sonnenwald (IHI), en considérant comment l'environnement de travail ou de plaisir influence les comportements informationnels. Cette affiche décrit la collection de données des 11 participants; elle étaye les conclusions de l'analyse thématique en identifiant les besoins et les sources d'information communes; elle traite des comportements informationnels faisant partie du cadre des activités d'information de Hektor; et elle présente la cartographie de l'univers informationnel créée par les participants.
