This edition of the PSUR covers "Democracy in Decline". Authors from this edition reflected on issues related towards exclusionary politics, the need to reform democratic institutions, and the need to protect democracy when threatened. This edition of the PSUR also marks the first instance of an official "Indigenous Politics" section, which focuses on how Indigenous peoples are affected by and effect political insititutions.
Thank you to the Political Science Undergraduate Association (PSUA) and the Department of Poltiical Science at the University of Alberta for continuing to support this endeavour! We would also like to thank the Indigenous Student's Union at the University of Alberta for opening our Indigenous Politics section with a call to recognize Indigenous contributions to the field of political science.
The Political Science Undergraduate Association (PSUA) is a non-partisan, registered, not-for-profit student organization and is an integral part of the Political Science department at the University of Alberta.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for student involvement and to act as a liaison between the Political Science department and all political science students. In addition, the PSUA organizes a number of social and extra-curricular activities which provide excellent opportunities to interact with faculty members and other political science students.
Any student enrolled as a political science major, minor, or honours student is considered a member of the PSUA.
