Vol. 9 No. 1 (2024): Political Science Undergraduate Review

A projection of the world map in white on a purple background with the title "Political Science Undergraduate Review" above the North Pole. Underneath the southern hemisphere where the Antarctic would be, "Volume IX" is written and underneath reads "University of Alberta Department of Political Science".
This edition of the Political Science Undergraduate Review covers topics ranging from trends in socio-political movements, critically examining nation-states' assertions about their human rights records, and investigations on religion, gender equality, and the intersections in these areas. While divided into two main sections, a common theme in the Review's nine papers was a focus on international affairs beyond the scope of Canada—a sentiment reflected in the visual design of the cover art.

Many thanks to the Political Science Undergraduate Association and the Department of Political Science for supporting and championing the PSUR. Finally, to the editorial team of peer reviewers, editors, copywriters, and leadership team—thank you for your diversity in thought, talent under pressure, and continued perseverance in creating an edition that continues to push the field of political science for future generations.
