About Topophilia

Topophilia: The Human Geography and Planning Student Journal is an opportunity for students to showcase their work and research. The journal accepts work from 200-level or higher courses (any discipline) with a grade of A- (80%) or higher. The objective of the journal is not only to showcase high quality work, but to also share valuable information gathered by students with their community. Topophilia will be displayed in locations across Edmonton to be read by all. It will be published once per regular school year.

The journal is published through the University of Alberta Libraries with Open Journal Systems. It is an open access platform that will ensure your paper is peer reviewed, permanently archived, and has a DOI for easy online sharing. Publication in Topophilia will build your resume and allow you to share your work beyond the classroom.
