Fall 2024 submissions deadline

2024-10-01

Good afternoon, readers and reviewers! Our editorial team would like to announce the deadline for our Fall 2024 submissions.

We will be closing submissions on 14 October.

After the 14th, we will begin the review phase and no more papers will be accepted.

If you have any interesting research, a paper you're proud of, or even a personal project that meets our academic standards, we would love to see it! Head over to our Submissions portal to review the guidelines and submit your work.

A quick overview of requirements:

- The subject of the paper must be relevant to the disciplines of history, classics, and religion.

- The manuscript must follow the Chicago Manual of Style 17th ed., with footnotes and a bibliography.

- The document (Word doc, not PDF) must be completely anonymised (no names, class numbers, or other identifying information anywhere in the document, including its title). The document's name must be the title of the paper.

- The first page of the manuscript must include a brief abstract. This abstract should summarise the thesis and methodology of your paper. It is not sufficient to copy-paste your introductory paragraph.

For more guidelines visit the Submissions portal, which includes a brief checklist to ensure your document is ready for submission, as well as an in-depth overview of our expectations for format and style. Please also consult our Policies section, which includes important new standards including our new statement on the use of AI, which we heavily encourage all authors to review.

As always, any questions or concerns can be directed to constellations.journal@ualberta.ca, or the Constellations channel in the HCRUS Discord.

Cheers,

Jay, Helen, Tiffany, and Natalia
