Abstract

This article provides an example of experiential learning and includes a video with music and sound to demonstrate collective and individual responses to Covid-19.

Barbara Groot is a senior researcher at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Aging at Leiden University's Medical Centre, Department of Public Health and Primary Care. Her research approach is participatory arts-based research.

Janine Schrijver, Stichting B.a.d., Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Janine Schrijver is an artist who works with photography from Stichting B.a.d. in the Netherlands. In her work she explores the relationship between humans and their complex life-world, often in urban environments. As a scholarly artist, she investigates and works together with Amsterdam UMC and Leyden Academy.

Lieke de Kock, Leyden Academy on Vitality and Aging & Leiden University Medical Centre

Lieke de Kock is a PhD researcher at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Aging. She has a background in theatre studies, applied theatre, and social work.

Tineke Abma, Leyden Academy on Vitality and Aging & Leiden University Medical Centre

Tineke Abma is a professor of Participation of Older People in Leiden University Medical Centre, Department of Public Health and Primary Care and professor of Participation and Diversity in Amsterdam University's Medical Centers, Department of Law, Ethics and Humanities. She is also Executive-Director of Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing.
