Author Biographies

Marcela S. Duran, York University

Dr. Marcela Duran is a contract faculty instructor with the Faculty of Education at York University Toronto, On. Canada. She has had extensive experience working in Public Education in Ontario in the areas of Equity in the Curriculum, Curriculum Development, Administration of Programs and Professional Development design and delivery. Her expertise and research interests are in the area of equity in education, refugee education and teaching and learning in global multicultural societies. Dr. Duran is a Guest Co-Editor of the Winter 2025 (Volume 16, No.2) Special Issue of Cultural and Pedagogical Inquiry entitled Voices of the Forcibly Displaced: Transition, Resettlement and Education.

Jan Stewart, University of Manitoba

Dr. Jan Stewart is the dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Manitoba and a Professor in the Department of Educational Administration, Foundations and Psychology. Dr. Stewart is a Guest Co-Editor of the Winter 2025 (Volume 16, No.2) Special Issue of Cultural and Pedagogical Inquiry entitled Voices of the Forcibly Displaced: Transition, Resettlement and Education.

Don Dippo, York University

Dr. Don Dippo is a Professor Emeritus from the Faculty of Education at York University in Toronto and a Guest Co-Editor of the Winter 2025 (Volume 16, No.2) Special Issue of Cultural and Pedagogical Inquiry entitled Voices of the Forcibly Displaced: Transition, Resettlement and Education.
