Abstract

During the fifty years that I have been around in this field, Ihave seen research andthinking of many types addressing the red thread of information in the socialtexture of people’s lives.In this talk I review some of those approaches, followingthe long arc of work to this date.I closeby celebrating the newestapproaches toinformation seeking/behavior/practice/experience, and discuss the futuresuccesses we have reason to look forward to.
