Dr. Melissa Johnston is Associate Professor of Educational Technology and Foundations at the University of West Georgia, in the state of Georgia, USA, where she teaches graduate courses in the school library media program. She worked as a school librarian for 13 years before obtaining her PhD at Florida State University. Johnston’s research and publications focus on the school librarian’s leadership role in integrating technology.  She served as the co-editor of School Library Research, the flagship research publication for the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) for five years, and is the chair of the IASL Research SIG.

Dr. Lucy Santos Green is Professor of Information Science at the University of South Carolina, USA. Before her career in academia, Dr. Green worked as a classroom teacher and school librarian for 8 years, and as a teacher educator at Texas Tech University while obtaining her doctorate in Instructional Design and Technology. She researches and publishes on international school library practices, inquiry learning, technology-enabled learning, and mixed methods research models. She has guest edited journal issues in library and information science and instructional technology, and is the vice-chair of the IASL Research SIG.
