Authors in Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship (ISTL) retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions. Authors grant ISTL the right of first publication, and other non-exclusive publishing rights.

Licensing

Since issue no. 75 (Winter 2014), ISTL has licensed its work through Creative Commons licenses. Articles and columns are generally licensed with the CC-BY-NC 4.0 license. Please note that while ISTL has always been open access, articles in issues prior to no.75 were not licensed with any CC license.
