Author Biography

Dr. Kathryn Hibbert, Western University

Dr. Kathryn Hibbert is a Distinguished University Professor of curriculum studies and multiliteracies in the Faculty of Education at Western University. Kathy has been a literacy educator for over 40 years, the first half in professional practice and the second half in academia. Her research typically asks how our ability to 'read' texts and to use and understand multimedia/other technologies shape our ability to communicate, to learn and to act upon that learning. These questions have led her to projects in multiliteracies in education, medical education, and areas she could not have imagined. She has been a proud member of LLRC for over 20 years, serving in every capacity including President.
